About a week ago, as I was walking to an evening class, a man suddenly approached me and asked me if I practice any Yoga or Self Realization. Immediately, I thought to myself it was a funny thing because that day I was thinking about finding new ways that can help me meditate. So I told this man that I meditate every once in a while. He pulled out a book written by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada , and began to talk about Bhagavad-Gita, a Hindu Philosophy, something I’ve never heard before.

He showed me some of the art int he book and began to explain in detail the meaning of the art.

The firts picture is a symbolism of Karma: “In the next life, beings will have the body suitable to do us the same harm we did to them. That is the natural law.” The second picture represents reincarnation: “Our body ages with time, from born to death, but our spirit stays the same and travels from body to body.”

After the man talked for about 5 minutes he said he was going to give me this book because I seemed like a smart guy: ) He also said there was an optional donation which will proceed to his spiritual group. Since I found it to be a coincedence that I he came up to me this day, I gave him the only bill I had-10 dollars. Hopefully someday I obtain some spiritual knowledge from this book and make those 10 dollars worthwhile.
